'Leila's Loneliness' star bags award at Beijing Int'l Filmfest

Iranian actress Mina Sadati has grabbed an award for the Best Performance by an Actress in a supporting role in 'Searing Summer' at the 8th Beijing Filmfest.

Directed by Ebrahim Irajzad, the award-winning flick narrates the story of Nasrin, a woman who seeks to divorce her husband. Knowing that she will not be able to get custody of her six-year-old daughter in the case, she moves to another part of town with her daughter. Their lives take an unexpected turn, when her husband catches up with her.

The cast list for the flick includes Parinaz Izadyar, Mina Sadati, Ali Mosaffa, Yasna Mirtahmasb and Saber Abar.

Mina Sadati is no stranger to ifilm viewers as she portrayed Leila so beautifully in ifilm series 'Leila's Loneliness' by Mohammd-Hossein Latifi.

Founded in 2011, the Beijing International Film Festival has been heavily attended by international executives, directors, producers and studio heads since its launch.

The 8th edition of Beijing International Film Festival, which is one of the best film festivals in Asia, took place on April 15-22, 2018, in the capital city of China, Beijing.
